Paul Stechschulte

Executive Creative Director / Arnold Amsterdam

An Art Director by trade, Paul is currently ECD at Arnold Amsterdam. Prior to that Paul was ECD at Pereira O’Dell in San Francisco, and a Group Creative Director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners. His resume includes tours of duty at W+K Amsterdam, 180 Amsterdam and just shy of 6 years at Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami.

While at GSP Paul helped create the international award winning Sprint, “Now Network” campaign. His television spot, “Wedding”, for Nextel was one of only 8 nominated for an Emmy in 2009.

Earlier in his career, Paul and colleagues reintroduced the MINI brand to the US for BMW. The highly successful launch did not include a single television ad; unheard of in the US automobile category. Paul’s work for the American Legacy Foundation “Truth” campaign is credited with preventing over 850,000 US teens from starting to smoke. A fact that reminds Paul that advertising can do powerful things when harnessed for good.

When not thinking about his clients’ business Paul spends time grooming the future of the industry by teaching and participating on the Board of Advisors at the Creative Circus in Atlanta.

His work has been honored by every award show in the industry. Winning the One Show’s “Best of Show” and the Titanium Lion in Cannes top the lengthy cross-medium list. More importantly his work has constantly gotten recognition from the “judges” of pop culture – being spoofed on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and mocked in pages of the UK’s Sun. His client experience includes BMW MINI, Nike, Adidas, Glenfiddich, Sprint, Nextel, Geek Squad, Virgin Atlantic, Burger King, EA Games, Carlsberg, IKEA and Method Home, Beats by Dre, Google and Twitter to list a few.

Paul lives in Amsterdam with his wife Julieana and children, Nolan, Cate and Kyle.
